When I tried to start postfix today, I got the following message:

fatal: parameter inet_interfaces: no local interface found for ::1

Solution is straightforward:

  1. open /etc/postfix/main.cf
  2. comment out inet_interfaces: all
  3. add inet_protocol: ipv4
